Strategic Plan (SG1)

Welcome to BAME Lone Parents Network Consulting

 


Vision:
To empower and uplift Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) lone parents by providing community, resources, and opportunities for growth, ensuring no parent feels isolated or unsupported.


Mission:
To create a supportive network that equips BAME lone parents with tools for financial independence, personal development, and emotional well-being.

3-Year Strategic Plan (2025–2028)

 

Strategic Goal 1 (SG1): Empower and Support BAME Lone Parents


Focus: Build a foundation of community, resources, and emotional support.

Year 1 (2025):

  • Establish 3 local chapters (or online hubs) for support groups.
     
  • Launch a mentorship program (20 mentors and mentees).
     
  • Deliver 12 monthly peer support sessions and 4 workshops on mental health and parenting.
     

Year 2 (2026):

  • Expand to 5 chapters, including hybrid (online & in-person) support.
     
  • Grow mentorship network to 50 pairs.
     
  • Deliver 20 support sessions and 8 wellness workshops.
     

Year 3 (2027):

  • Serve 500+ lone parents across all chapters.
     
  • Build a resource hub (online portal with videos, guides, and community forums).
     

KPIs:

  • 500 active members by end of Year 3.
     
  • 80% of participants report reduced isolation and improved emotional well-being.

Strategic Goal 2 (SG2): Strengthen Economic Stability and Opportunities

Focus: Support BAME lone parents in achieving financial independence and career growth.

Year 1 (2025):

  • Host 4 financial literacy workshops.
     
  • Partner with 3 local organizations for employment programs.
     
  • Help 20 parents access training or return-to-work schemes.
     

Year 2 (2026):

  • Expand partnerships to 8 organizations, including childcare providers and job agencies.
     
  • Launch a micro-grant fund (up to £500 per parent) for skills training or small businesses.
     
  • Support 50 parents in finding employment or launching businesses.
     

Year 3 (2027):

  • Develop a sustainable "Parent Entrepreneur Hub" for small business support.
     
  • Train 100 parents in income-generating skills or certifications.
     

KPIs:

  • 200 parents supported with employment, training, or business start-up by end of Year 3.
     
  • 50% of participants report increased income or financial stability.

Strategic Goal 3 (SG3): Advocate, Influence, and Grow the Network

Focus: Ensure BAME lone parents are heard, represented, and supported by policy and wider society.

Year 1 (2025):

  • Create a council engagement plan to address housing, childcare, and discrimination issues.
     
  • Build a social media presence and collect stories for advocacy.
     
  • Host 1 public awareness event.
     

Year 2 (2026):

  • Partner with local councils to shape at least 2 policies or programs benefiting lone parents.
     
  • Secure 3 corporate sponsors or funding partners.
     
  • Grow network membership to 300 parents.
     

Year 3 (2027):

  • Host the first National BAME Lone Parents Summit (conference + workshops).
     
  • Publish an annual report on the state of BAME lone parents (with policy recommendations).
     
  • Expand membership to 500+ and secure £50k in funding for long-term sustainability.
     

KPIs:

  • 3 policies influenced or programs created by Year 3.
     
  • £50k in funding secured for sustainability.
     
  • National recognition through events and partnerships.
